My Funny Fam

Sorry, all I had was this tiny thing of my mom
This was all of sibs in summer'06
This is my little bro strangling my dad.

I have the greatest family. We get along really well now that we are all such mature adults (As you will soon see). We have these funny email conversations once in a while. I thought I'd put our current conversation on here so you can all see how much fun my family is. It's still ongoing...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From Amy to all of us:

My friend sent this to me...it's a quick little word game that helps donate rice. Weird, but kind of fun. I'm sure mom will whip us all on this one. I donated 520 grains of rice (probably about 1/2 cup :) ) in about 5 min. I'm going to try again though. I was suprised by the words I actually knew!
Amy

Check out this web site
it is fun
----------------------------------
Later that night from my brother Dave (I totally agree with this one by the way)

Ok. I spent 10 minutes doing this thinking that something would stop me- nothing did. Anyway, I helped donate 1600 grains of rice, apparently. I thought there would be a competitive nature to this little "game", but I was fooled. Blast you Amy! You and you're shenanigans! lol

Have a good one! :-)

-Dave
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then my dad chimes in:

I got sucked in too. I thought it would at least tell me what percentage I was getting right or just say "thanks, you've done enough", but it just kept on going. Finally after I gave 2000 grains and my lunch hour was gone, I just quit -- like I don't have better things to do -- thanks, Amy. Actually, I did better than I thought I would. Hey this is fun talking to everyone at once. Love, DAD

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And my other sister Laura

hmm, i think i have ADHD because i donated like 20 grains of rice and i was done. hey, at least i helped feed a very small child? (a very very very small child....)
a million dollars to whoever can guess what movie this is from: "you wanna get nuts? lets get nuts!"
laura :)
ps. the winner will be payed in increments of 1 dollar a year until the amount is payed off.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dave:
I think it's Bill Murry in something...him, or Indiana Jones...lol [that means (l)augh (o)ut (l)oud Mom and Dad!]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then Laura again:
nice try... but EEEEHHHNNN (annoying buzzer sound). i will give you another clue. if none of you get this, i'm just going to have to keep my million, and that's embarrassing. here is the clue: "ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?"
laura :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amy:
Batman!! The joker, I think, said that. I think Batman said the quote before...Let's get nuts...
Am I right?? I could really use a million dollars!
Amy
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Me:
I think she guessed it. Man nice to have a couple of millionaires in the family.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dave:
Uh, Amy? You're answer doesn't count because you need to address the previously numerous concerns put forth by the people who used "your" rice donating website. Very disappointing to say the least.
OK. Now that you're disqualified...the answer is Batman! heh heh heh.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Poor pitiful Amy:
So, the rice thing...well, the idea was to time yourself for 5 min. (or some other set time) and see how much you could donate in that time. I guess I didn't make that very clear. I, however, feel good inside when I think that I donated a whole tablespoon of rice to those starving people...wherever they live. Did you check out the total amount of rice donated so far? It's like 100 billion or something. That's got to be 2 cups! Jk
Seriously, don't take this movie quote win from me!! I never win these!! I just happened to be on my computer when she sent out the "easy" clue. I knew you people had probably already gone to bed!!!

Amy
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And lastly, Laura
ding ding ding! amy wins. however, dave does prove a point, so in lieu of having a sibling conflict, i will just say that no one gets the million. better luck next time.
laur :)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, maybe you had to be there to get it but trust me, it's funny. Oh, and beware if you do the rice thing- it can suck you in if you let it!

That's pretty funny! I love that they just kept on going. I've done that rice thing and it will really suck you in. I think I quit at 300ish.

Spel,
Wow you do have a great family. I really truly enjoyed seeing all those pictures. I don't remember seeing a picture of Amy and so I was glad to see what she looks like. I saw Dave once in High School, but it was nice to get a refresher.

As for Laura and Robert, wow! They were both young 12 or 14 yr olds in my mind. That's weird how your mind doesn't age people for you. I really loved seeing those pictures.

You do have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

If you think of it tell Laura and your parents "Hi" for me. They look like life has treated them well.
Love,
Biff
