That is the name for that place in my brain where the strangest, most random thoughts come from. Peter is usually the amused recipient of these quirky ponderings. Today you lucky reader, you get to share in the fun! The night before last I was awake in the middle of the night and my unruly mind wouldn't quiet and let me get back to sleep. I was pondering waffles folks. My first thought went to the shapes of waffles. Our waffle iron makes square waffles and you can buy those circular Eggo waffles. Wouldn't the square be the most efficient shape? I was trying to imagine how Eggo must do it. Do they have a bunch of single circle irons the batter is poured into or all they all connected and then torn apart after? It seems like if they were connected, more batter would be wasted but the time saved may make up for that- but then there's the time to take them all apart afterwards.... So that worked it's way around for a while. I know companies like to be efficient. That's not all though. While wondering how Eggo chose to make their little disk waffles I started thinking about all the eggs that need to be cracked to make them! Do the have machines that crack the eggs? If so, do they then run it through a strainer to make sure all the shells are taken out? If the have human egg crackers, they must use some kind of glove and take many breaks because that would kill my fingers! Peter solved this one for me by saying they probably just bought the eggs already cracked. Good thinking Baby.
Anyway, that's what I was thinking... How did you enjoy your visit to Lena Land?

Or- for the eggs, they probably use some type of nasty "egg product" that doesn't have a lot in common with eggs.

Too true Cortney!! Good to see you ;)
But Lena, did you ever wonder how the egg company that sells the eggs already cracked cracks them??? That should take care of keeping you up tonight!
Keri- Gasp! You mean mean girl!!
Hmm, never thought much about waffles. Except what to put on them:)) Good questions though, and it might be fun to peak more into Lena Land once in a while!
Now every has gotten a small peak that the kind of entertainment that I get on a daily basis. Who needs tv with her around. Love ya honey.

I love Lena Land! You cold charge admission! :)
Your mindful meanderings remind me of old Mr. Roger's Neighborhood episodes. I think factories are much more updated now, but I still picture those old machines that crush the peanuts to make the peanut butter!
