Friends

I LOVE being a good friend. I love to know that I have made someone's day easier in some way. Well, someone did that for me today. Leslie over at Altered Art surprised me today. I mean, really surprised me! Not that I wouldn't expect this thoughtfulness from her because she is probably one if the NICEST people I know- not a mean bone in her body. It's just that I don't really see or talk to her very much anymore since we are in different wards and well, I don't get out much, lol. The kids had just finished school up for the day and we were settling into some quiet time and getting ready to watch a movie together when someone knocked on the door. I thought it was the neighbor boy again wanting to play as usual but it was Leslie! She was standing on my porch with some beautiful sunflowers and a Dove chocolate bar. I was just baffled and still surprised to see her there. I asked what they were for and she just said that she saw Peter recently and told her I had a houseful. True. Last week was kids' week at the Morgan's and this week the kids are sick so we are all getting a little stir crazy. So, she brought me this wonderful, precious treat! For me! I teared up of course and was completely overwhelmed with gratitude and the knowledge that yes, I am still on Heavenly Father's radar. He knows me and knows that I need people like Leslie popping in on me now and again to remind me of that. I so appreciate her listening to what prompting that she received because I needed that today. Thank you!
