It's True!

I DO age just like everyone else. I know, I know- you all think how impossible it is that I'm actually 31 but I really am. I was born in the 70's. No matter how much you argue that I must be in my early 20's I truly am in the next decade. So far my 30's are okay! I haven't had any children in my 30's yet and may not either (although that kind of makes me sad too)! I'll be a mom of teenagers and a scout mom in this decade. I'll most likely be a mom to college student as well. Wow- that puts things into scary perspective. I don't think I want to think along those lines anymore! I'm okay with ME getting older but I don't like to think too much about my kids getting older! Well, I've already had some fun things done for my birthday. My parents stopped by the other day with something for Peter and gave me Mario Party 8 for the Wii, lol. Everyone has had fun with that. My wonderful Visiting Teaching companion gave me a $25 gift card to Borders- can't wait to go browse!!!! My kids have made cards for me, a crown and breakfast. I think it will be a great year! I hope to see some of you throughout this year- let's not wait too long!

Saturday was my Church's Women's Conference. I look forward to it all year long! They usually have a nice dinner before and a great dessert afterwards and the speakers are always uplifting and amazing. I wasn't able to make it to the church building because Joseph and Eric both had croup and Grandma was also sick. I had been to both the pharmacy AND the Dr twice on Saturday. Once with Grandma and once with Joseph. I had a feeling Peter was going to ask me to stay home to be there for him. He really freaks out when the kids have croup. Understandable- it's a scary thing when your kids can't breathe. He did and I stayed home and listened to the Conference online. It was the same wonderful message and I want to hear it again! Everyone is on the mend thanks to Orapred and Grandma's medicine. Maybe we can all get healthy and stay that way for a while!

Happy Birthday, Lena!! Sounds like a pretty good one. Your thoughts on aging are very eye opening when you put it in those terms!!
