Pictures and Creating a Skirt

Eric had a fun fun birthday. His siblings made him King for the day and his Grandparents came to have cake and celebrate with us. He got some fun gifts too. His biggest sister made him a coloring book with her own drawings all stapled together. Very cute!

Sarah has plenty of jeans with holes or that are now too short but still fit fine in the waist (let's face it- she could probably wear Josephs clothes on the waist). So, instead of the usual cut-off shorts I tried creating a skirt and I think it works! I didn't use a pattern but it's pretty darn simple. I just wish I could find my seam rippers because ripping out all of those seams with scissors is a PAIN! So does it work?

Eric looked like he had a great time! The skirt is fantastic. Maybe I can send you some of Nicoles clothes? lol We actually had to start buying her Junior girls size x-tra small because of her height and the fact that she now sorta has hips but a small waist. She went within a few months from being able to wear a girls 14/16 to a junior extra small. Now shes in Colorado for two weeks, having a grand adventure. HELP!!!
Have a great weekend!

The skirt looks great! I just turned jeans into a skirt as well--I added some fabric to the bottom instead. The pic is in my flickr photostream, also here

I'm going to have to do that with some of these other jeans Monique- that is too cute. I've got some old thin-material tablecloths I've been saving to use for something like that.
